TheraTech Pathways, LP was created in 2007 to support the TreatWrite® product line.  TheraTech was a Tech Champ Company with the Houston Technology Center from 2008 thru 2011. The company was voted the Most Promising New Company of 2007 and the Outstanding Mid Stage Company of 2009.  There is a copyright on the documentation process and a patent pending on the software.

Progress tracking technology data opens future doors of opportunity for TheraTech to lead the allied health professions into Learning Healthcare.  Planned product expansions include the addition of a learning library and a public information site. These expansions, coupled with progress tracking data, offer exciting possibilities to define service delivery efficiencies and grow a culture of constantly improving healthcare delivery at the touch of a button.

Gretchen Bebb, MS, CCC-SLP, MM, is the founder and director of TheraTech Pathways, a practicing speech pathologist, and former member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Healthcare Economics Committee.  Ms. Bebb holds fast to beliefs that payers deserve to know what they purchase from health care providers, patients deserve efficient, outcome-focused care, and therapists should be able to document efficiently and report their services accurately without spending hours doing it.

TreatWrite® is a visionary, responsible, web-based service that:

TreatWrite was created with direct input from Neil Hartman, former Director of Allied Health Services at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  The original version was ProWrite: Caseload Management and Documentation published by Communication Skill Builders in 1992.  This bound publication for speech pathologists represented the first published comparative progress tracking tool in the medical industry.  The published book remained an active seller until the publisher closed its business in the late 1990s.

The web-based prototype was a standalone software version created in 2005 that was piloted between 2005 and 2007.  With guidance from the staff of the Houston Technology Center, the web-based version, TreatWrite, was released for speech pathologists in 2008.  Versions for occupational therapy, physical therapy, and audiology followed between 2009 and 2011.  Today TheraTech’s TreatWrite software has over 500 users across the United States.
